Cheddar, Chilli and Coriander Gougeres

40gD’Lecta unsalted Butter

125 mlWater



1 tbspChilli powder

1/2 tbspSalt

A handfulChopped coriander

90gGrated D’Lecta natural cheddar cheese

2tbspD’Lecta cheese spread to serve(Optional)


Preheat an oven to 220°C.

Heat the water and butter together in a deep saucepan and bring to a boil.

Add the flour , salt and the chilli powder and mix with a wooden spoon till it leaves the sides of the pan.

Remove from the heat and let it cool a bit.

Beat the eggs and slowly incorporate the eggs in the flour mixture.

Add the grated cheese and coriander and mix well.

Pipe the filling onto parchment paper lined baking trays into a size of a walnut.

Bake the goujeres for 10 minutes, then lower the temperature to 190°C and bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.

Remove the goujeres from the oven, either slice it and spread Dlecta cheese spread or serve as it is immediately.
