- 15 gBreadcrumbs
- 200 gEgg whites
- 1 tbspLemon juice
- A pinchSalt
- A pinchChilli powder
- 50g, cut into cubesDlecta natural cheddar
Melt butter in a pan.
Add the flour and stir well till it turns blonde in colour.
Add the milk and mix well.
Heat the mixture for a minute, add the grated natural cheddar and white pepper.
Switch off the flame and let it cool.
Once cooled, add the egg yolks and mix well.
Take 6 oven proof ramekin moulds and grease it with butter.
Coat the insides of the bowls with breadcrumbs.
Preheat an oven at 200 degrees celcius.
Whisk the egg whites along with lemon juice, salt and chilli powder to stiff peak stages.
Fold the egg whites into the yolk mixture in three batches.
Put half the mixture in the prepared bowls.
Put a cube of cheddar on top of each bowl and cover with the remaining mixture.
Bake in the oven in a pan filled with water for 12-15 minutes until golden and puffed up.
