  • 25 gDlecta unsalted butter
  • 25 gFlour
  • 100 mlDlecta Premium Milk
  • 50g, gratedDlecta Natural Cheddar
  • A pinchWhite pepper
  • 2Egg yolks
  • For dusting
  • 10 gDlecta unsalted butter
  • 15 gBreadcrumbs
  • 200 gEgg whites
  • 1 tbspLemon juice
  • A pinchSalt
  • A pinchChilli powder
  • 50g, cut into cubesDlecta natural cheddar
Step 1

Melt butter in a pan.

Step 2

Add the flour and stir well till it turns blonde in colour.

Step 3

Add the milk and mix well.

Step 4

Heat the mixture for a minute, add the grated natural cheddar and white pepper.

Step 5

Switch off the flame and let it cool.

Step 6

Once cooled, add the egg yolks and mix well.

Step 7

Take 6 oven proof ramekin moulds and grease it with butter.

Step 8

Coat the insides of the bowls with breadcrumbs.

Step 9

Preheat an oven at 200 degrees celcius.

Step 10

Whisk the egg whites along with lemon juice, salt and chilli powder to stiff peak stages.

Step 11

Fold the egg whites into the yolk mixture in three batches.

Step 12

Put half the mixture in the prepared bowls.

Step 13

Put a cube of cheddar on top of each bowl and cover with the remaining mixture.

Step 14

Bake in the oven in a pan filled with water for 12-15 minutes until golden and puffed up.

Step 15

Serve immediately.
