  • For cake sponge
  • 1 & 1/2 cupAll purpose flour
  • 1/4th cupCocoa powder
  • 1 tspBaking powder
  • 1/2 tspBaking soda
  • 1/4th cupHot coffee
  • 1 & 1/2th cupGranulated sugar
  • 100 gmsDlecta unsalted butter
  • 1/4th cupDlecta Milk
  • 1/4th cupYogurt
  • For Frosting
  • 100 gmsDlecta dairy free whip cream
  • 20 gmsCoffee powder
  • For Filling
  • 1 cupRoughly chopped roasted walnuts
Step 1

In a bowl, mix in dlecta unsalted butter (room temperature), granulated sugar till soft and fluffy.

Step 2

In a separate bowl, mix in flour,cocoa powder,baking powder,baking soda and add in to the wet ingredients.

Step 3

Add in yogurt and milk and mix well.

Step 4

Finally add in hot coffee and give a gentle mix

Step 5

Line a baking tin and pour the batter into it.Bake for 40 mins at 180°.

Step 6

After the cake is baked and cooled down completely, cut it into 3 equal slices.

Step 7

Bring the whip cream to room temperature and whip it till soft peaks.

Step 8

Apply whipped cream frosting in between each layer and finally garnish it with chopped walnuts.Set the cake into the fridge for 2 hours.
